    Robert Woods and Maria Winter

I have two daughters for them Charlotte Maria Trappett Jun 1838 and Emma Jane Mar 1840, both born in Norwich St Margaret. GRO gives mmn of Winter for both girls but I cannot locate the marriage

Sorry no luck here - I see Robert remarries (as a widower) in 1842 and I cannot find a death or burial for Maria in 1841 either:headbang:

    I posted too soon;)

There is a marriage of Robert Woods to Rose Ann Winter 6th July 1835 in Norwich St Swithun

And a death of Rose Ann Woods March qtr 1841 Wayland 13 273
age 23 from the GRO index

Don't ask me why she is enumerated as Maria in 1841 though:nailbiting:

Erm.... the 1841 census took place on June 6th and so Rose Ann would be a different person. :(

Robert and Sarah do a mass baptism of all of the children on 30/11/1851

Robert Wilson Woods, Henry Wilson Woods, Edward Wilson Woods plus

So Robert did marry Rose Anne, so again who is Maria on 1841 census?

Yes that could be a possibility.

Did you notice one of the witnesses to both of Robert's marriages was a Susanna Wilson Woods, and the second wife was Sarah Wilson Nash?o_O

I hadn't ... think I will leave well alone for now
I'm not planning to delve too far into Robert, it's one of the daughters of his first marriage that I am really interested in
