Lookup Please

Apologies for asking But I don't have an FMP sub at the moment. Can someone please have a look at the Boer War Army records and if they can spot a Stanley Coates and tell me which regiment he is in? Also is there a Joseph Walden (possibly middle initial 'J') in the same regiment.

It is a long story... but I am trying to find out if there are two families who happen to have the same names across a couple of generations who have been mixed up.

4 coates listed - Lance Corporal SJ, Trouper SW, Private SWG plus a
private JS. No names just initials

3 Waldens - drummer J and sergeant JH and private AJ

All of these are in different regiments (and the name varients Waldon, Weldon etc.)

The JH Walden - Sergeant is mine. He served in the 71st Imperial Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) arriving 4th May 1900 Beira. There is also a Stanley Coates, who served with the 77th Squadron Manchester Imperial Yeomanry arriving SA 3rd May 1900. The question is did these two men know each other or is there another Joseph Walden who served with Stanley????
I have lots of documentary evidence to say that my JHW isn't who this other person thinks is the same as the JW they have links with but they refute what I have....
