    Very good web site.

I can endorse that but it is not actually a free site so it may be against the rules of this site to promote it, but the annual cost is very small and only aimed to cover costs as far as I can tell.

    cheers

Yes,sorry, it isn't actually free but I think there are levels and as you say any costs are small.
I haven't paid anything and I will check as I think his newsletters are free to anyone.
They are certainly worth looking at and there are bits and pieces of non-genealogy.
I will come back later with info or people can just Google it for themselves.

I'm not sure of the rules myself. But as I understand it you can talk about a pay site but you can't give a direct link to it.

My reasoning behind my assumption is that people talk about Ancestry and FMP which are both subscription sites (so it is ok to mention them) but forum rules dictate that you can NOT provide a direct link to either of them.

Best to let people google it for them selves.

Maybe an Administrator or Mod could tell me if I have this correct.

    You are correct Terry.

No restrictions on naming or referring to them or posting a 'broken' link but you are not allowed to post direct links to them.

    See Rule 6 here.

Another endorsement for the really informative news letter, though I have not yet found a lost cousin.

Nor have I but that my be partly because my close family used aliases in 1881 which, if posted on Peter's site would simply confuse people. Oh to have criminals in your ancestry!

I too get the free newsletter and there are almost always articles of interest in there. Very informative.

I must give that site a look.

I've found quite a few lost cousins of varying degrees of kinship, even two 2nd cousins but all through GR.
