    Thank you for all your efforts Samuel was in the army during 1911 I think he was demobbed around 1913 and was on reserve, 1914 WW1 broke out he married Lucy/Louisa in the April and was sent expeditionary force to France where he was killed in the September, Must have been really difficult for people them days,
    Lucy was very elusive

    I just found Samuel in the FMP Great War 1914-1918.
    He was a rifleman and was born in St.John's Derby.He died 14th Sept 1914.

    yes just been trawling through some old notes and I have written down
    they were in Slack Lane Derby
    Not sure where that came from but it could be where they were living when recalled in 1914 I do not have the facilities to search the address though
