Colin,
I have just seen your previous posts about Arthur Alec Powell. He was my grandfather, so I can fill in all the details you might need.
Alec died of pneumonia in 1926 and his wife was left to bring up their two sons, Max and Peter. Max joined the RAF as an apprentice in 1936 and was serving in the Far East at the outbreak of the 2nd World War. After some grim episodes, he ended up as a Flight Sergeant, married in 1945, and joined the Colonial Office. They had no children. Whilst serving in the Gold Coast he was killed in a car accident in 1951. His wife, Diana (nee Mordecai) returned to her family in Abergavenny, South Wales, and subsequently remarried.
Please let me know what your connection is with the family and I will be delighted to fill in any more blanks.
Jon
