Samuel Grove was born c1698. I wonder if John Grove (Sis's Martha's father) was son of Samuel, perhaps from his first marriage. Or has this already been found?
Hi Sis. I'll pick you up and we will head to Hackney Archives There is so much info on these families. Not sure whether you can down load anything but Isaac was born Isaac Le Greux according to info on William Timmins Grove one of his descendants Ref numbers: D/F/Grove, each record has an additional number Martha being D/F/Grove/7 All these records were deposited in the 1970's
Google Books. 38 pages by Edward Grove 1974 (I guess it can be purchased online) Isaac Le Greux (-1754) to John Groves (1743-18190 + Isaac Grove (1750-?) Ooh will take a look at those, thank you MM. I've yet to find just where Samuel is in this family, but I will get there.
Thank you Ann and Arthur. I can see another day glued to my computer chair Not that I'm complaining, couldn't think of a better place to be. PS Just realised that Samuel was a widower at this marriage
OK, apparently you can get a bus to Adelaide Parklands and there you can pick up Wendy and then you can both get the Indian Pacific and I'll pick you up at East Perth in a few days. Then we will work out how to get to Hackney Archives, maybe we can hitchhike! See ya soon
Sue, I can't get this to come up in Google books. Can you please tell me what you searched for? Thanks.
Thanks Wendy. Will look in to how I can get hold of a copy, my local library is so small if you blink while driving by you miss it.
All I did was put in 'Isaac Le Greux' and a whole lot of stuff came up. Mostly name meaning stuff. Appears both Isaac and his brother fled France but I have no idea who he could be. Might make sense that his name could be Samuel as well.
