More Help Please

My first thought was Gunner Ret, but it would be a good idea to look at more of the same person's handwriting.

The end of it doesn't look like an upper case 'N' to me, and I don't think that style of 'A' was much in use then. Are there other 'N's or 'A's in the same or different styles?

If it is 'Ret' then the 't' is uncrossed, so has the writer missed the crossing in other places too?
