Mother's maiden name?

Robert BROWN died on 12th August 1892 in Carbusnethan, Lanarkshire at the age of 81.

The nice thing about Scottish death certificates is that, by this time they include the deceased's parent's names - including the maiden name of the mother.

This is rather good unless you have problems actually reading that name.

Is anyone able to help, please?



By the way, Robert married in 1855 and they had not got round to putting the parents' names on the certificates back then, so that is of no help.

Jane BROWN nee FRAME?? Not that I can find a likely marriage to Thomas BROWN at the moment, but there a quite a lot of FRAMEs in Lanarkshire in early census records.

I saw it as FRAME as well, but needed a second or more opinion..... Just in case that first letter could have been something else.
