It is correct, you will find the first baptism sometimes referred to in PRs as "Baptised privately" and the second as, words to the effect, "Introduced to the Congregation".
It can also happen when a new and eager incumbent takes over a congregation and gees up the laggard families who he suspects have unbaptised children. I've had a couple of children in my lines who were baptised twice as part of multi baptisms at Coggeshall Essex. If memory serves me correctly the ages of people caught up in those mass baptisms ranged mostly from one year old to people in their twenties, also a few much older.
