Hi I need some help understanding a baptism. Crimond Register of Baptisms (this is Crimond in Aberdeenshire) 17 Aug 1817 (that's where the wife and children lived in census) and this is what is recorded: William Dinnes in Nethertown of Logie had a daughter of his wife Ann Youngson and baptised named Christian. Witnesses James McLeod and George Robertson McLeod both in Logie. What I need help on is: I cannot find a Nethertown in Logie and the only Logie I can find is in Perthshire hundreds of miles away. Was/is there a Nethertown or Logie near Crimond? Both witnesses (no relation that I know of) were recorded as both in Logie. From the abode of the witnesses I expected to be able to find a Nethertown or Logie near Crimond for them to be the witnesses. Really confused.
