Greetings all! I consider myself one of the very lucky as much of the work on my family history was handed down to me. Therefore, rather than focus on tracing the lineage, I've been able to jump right into getting to know who these people were. That said, I know very little about the family before Richard Sperry arrived in the New Haven colony, sometime around 1640. He hailed from Thurleigh Parish, Bedfordshire. I'm hoping to connect with others who might know of the Sperry family in England.

Hi Marion and warm welcome to Top Dog. :)

Please have a good look round, place your questions on the most appropriate boards and we will do our best to help you. Don't worry if you post in the wrong section as it can easily be moved (that's what Admin and we Mod's are for)

Can I ask you to add your location to your profile please. That way we will not suggest you pop in to Kew (U.K.) to do some research. :)

Done; thanks for the tip!

Welcome to Top Dog Marion C|:-) a very friendly forum where we all love to pitch in and help others out as much as we can.
Sounds as if you've got a lot of your family tree already but if you have any of those pesky brickwalls, let us know and we'll do our best to knock them down for you.
Enjoy yourself at Top Dog.

Hello Marion and a very warm welcome to Top Dog. C|:-)

I am sure that we will be able to help you to put flesh on the bones of Richard Sperry and his family, so post what you do know - perhaps in the Bedfordshire forum - and we will do what we can to help.

Have fun! :)
