Heligoland now that's interesting, in my many years on various genealogy forums I've never come across the mention of anyone with an interest in Heligoland, mind you. nor have I read every post on those forums! :rolleyes: :D

I have only looked at Belfast so far. Have linked with some cousins and received/exchanged chatty info and photos. Still thinking about total new start for tree; ie buy software package and filing system

Great-grandad I believe who was a Mariner. I have read quite a bit about history of island since being aware

Hi Sandie P. Don't suppose you have an opinion on the 'Legacy' software programme - I am reading, searching for info as aim to make clean start on my tree(s) so looking to find most efficient way of keeping and accessing records/sources etc

Havent used the programme myself I am sure someone on here will have best to start a new thread with it in title.............I have a tree on Ancestry and then asoftware programme called Rootsmagic but it isn't a free programme and there are lots of others
