I've been updating my Roots Magic file all day. I managed to locate a Reginald King who had been listed as Reginald Ring on one site, but correctly on another.

I have failed to locate John Ashworth on the 1939 register, at all. He appears on the 1911 census Class: RG14; Piece: 9281; Schedule Number: 123. He was born on 13th June 1910 [and had a twin sister born 5 minutes earlier, I have the certificates] Although Edith died in 1937, John lived until 1971.

I have looked (manually) through all the Coates pages of the Register and I tried various mis-spellings such as Asworth; I even used Jack as a name he may have gone by. He didn't marry until 1948 so it is no good looking for his wife.

    Any suggestions please?

Could he have been in the military? lf so he would not be included on the register.

Ooo-wer missus! I didn't know that. I doubt I'll be able to find out, will I?

I couldn't find him yesterday but this morning I do wonder if he may have been working in Buckinghamshire.

A John Ashworth is living with the Bennett Family just down the track from Whittlesey-68.5 miles- not so far. His birth date is a bit off, 10-7-1910 but I didn't see one likely birth in Bucks on FreeBMD. [ didn't look elsewhere]

Three of my uncles were in the military in 1939. None appear in the Register.

Thanks. Possible I suppose. I will do more research locally when I go over there.
