My PDF cerificate arrived this week a day earlier than expected which wasn't bad seeing we had a Bank Holiday Monday.

I've sent for a couple of certificates (yesterday).

I also applied for a new passport from the website a couple of weeks ago. That had a very quick turnaround of a week and a half (despite being warned of delays throughout the ordering process) so things are starting to move again I think.

Ordered a death cert 5pm on Sunday.
    Arrived 11.25 a.m today-Tuesday.
    Is this a record?!

Ordered a birth cert at the same time- not here yet.

Could it be because the one I really really want is the birth cert?

It's one of those illegitimate ones which just might (but probably won't) show the name of the father....

    It arrived! 4.37pm.

And although the "name of father" column is blank, the baby is named with his surname (and it was the suspect all along).
Success! and congratulations to GRO for the speedy delivery. No pun intended.

If it is a paper (marriage cert) one then you might have a long wait, the pdf's are coming through really quickly though.

I received a PDF death cert on Wednesday 16th September that was ordered on Saturday 5th September. That's within 7 working days. No complaints.

Gosh, that was quick. Royal Mail must've run with them. The results? - good, in a way, as they're not my family. A couple more to pursue before I can be certain that the line ended.
