I need some help with this scottish dc. I know that the deceased maiden name was Eleanor Hansen so I can make out fathers surname but are his forenames Robert Goodall? Cant then read the next line and guessing 3rd is deceased. Then mother is Mary Ann or Jane Hanson. Cant read MMN and again deceased. Any help would be much appreciated.

I think the father is Robert Goodall Hanson, but as the link between the first and second letters of his middle name is a bit unclear I wouldn't rule out Woodall. The end of the surname is also unclear, so it might be spelled Hansen. Then his occupation looks like Brewer, and I agree that he is Deceased.

For the mother's middle name, the two middle letters of it look the same, so I'd go for Anne - but the first letter does look rather like a J. Her maiden name seems to begin with Bann... - is either Bannet or Bannit a surname? However, the writer's 'r' is often quite high, so how about Banner? She's Deceased as well.

Where entries are hard to read, Scotland's People used to be very good at providing better copies if asked, but I don't know if they're doing that at the moment.

Thank you Arthur, with that info I searched Ancestry for Robert Goodall Hansen and up he popped marrying a Mary Ann Banner. Perfect as thet came from Nottinghamwhich is where Eleanor married. {-(^^)-}
