Is it probable that a child's birth may go un-registered with no Baptism if the Mother had died possibly in child birth? If she was Jane's child the mother's name would be Harris.

I hope it's a good lunch Colin because that is closer than anything I have arrived at.
FreeBMD is having a hard time finding anything close. I think the first letters may be 'Ers---' but then again may be' Cors---.' I was about to try Irfanview but really need to leave here for a time to start my day where I should be. ;) Thanks Colin.

I see Ermma Copley, but who knows. There are a few Ermmas on FreeBMD, but not an Ermma Copley. Or maybe it's that she signed quickly and it's Emma Copley of which there are quite a number on FreeBMD.

I also built on Emma but saw too many letters. Remembered a name from way back like Emersine but that's not long enough.
@Chimp thank you, the address at death is different for Jane in 1841 but sure looks to be her. For George, he joins so many Family members in Nunhead.

Still wondering on Sarah b. 1843.

Here's a long shot. (think of it as a blind man on a galloping horse)

    Elizabeth Caroline Bingley
Baptism date: 21st October 1821, Stepney, London
    Father: John Bingley
    Mother: Sarah

Could Elizabeth have had a child just before marrying George and to sort of hide it her parents christened it as theirs?

    Sarah Elizabeth Bingley
    Gender: Female
    Christening Date: 4th December 1842, Saint Mark,Kennington,London
    Birth Date: 8th Nov 1842
    Father's Name: John Bingley
    Mother's Name: Sarah

    BINGLEY, SARAH ELIZABETH
    Mother's Maiden name: COOPER
GRO Reference: 1842 D Quarter in LAMBETH Volume 04 Page 228

I haven't been able to find this Sarah Elizabeth Bingley after this date, neither have I been able to find any other children with Bingley - Cooper parent combination. Saying that I haven't found a marriage for Bingley - Cooper either.

Please someone break this down as I am now going around the bend and up the wall

Come on down Chimp,-that was a good find. I had tried Sarah x Bingley but nothing came up. So far Elizabeth Bingley appears to have been a spinster dtr of Samuel Bingley. Also tried no christian name hoping Sarah may have been 2nd name but no luck.
I also must away for today, but thanks so much to all who have had ago for Sarah. :)

For those who see 'Emma' Cope, there were several around the area at the time of the marriage, I haven't yet checked out marriages to see whose signature resembles the witness one.
