This could be a daft question but here goes,

During ww2 would all airfields and stations have an RAF Intelligence section?

They must have to some degree -[define intelligence section]
    - even if just one or two persons at the end of a phone line, yes?

Still I think intelligence would have had training personnel on training airfields- why not? They would need to learn first hand why, when & how quickly,& at the time of impending unrest they would also have been a target.

    I didn't know the answer - but I know a man who did ;)

I have just spoken to my father (as mentioned here) and he says that it was quite probable that each airfield would have its own Intelligence Unit. There was not one main one but Fighter Command, Bomber Command and Coastal Command each had their own. Also, each RAF Regiment would as well.

I hope that this helps. :)

    Thank you.

The reason for the question is I have someone else working on my Uncles military past and lets just say they are not very good at checking sources etc. and also ignore facts that don't agree with the narrative they have assumed about my uncle

Think you have the wrong person doing it. You can never assume anything. You will know we always go with the facts. Hope you get a better person helping you who takes the facts into consideration.
