It is with mixed feelings I tell you that our dear friend Flook passed away on Wednesday, having lost his battle, believe me it was an epic battle, with cancer. He never once complained, said 'why me?' and was the most positive person I have ever known. He had more treatment than you can shake a stick at, traditional and pioneering and it did slow the cancer down but recently his medical team said there is nothing more to try. Even then he said "ah free to watch the Ashes without interruption". The mixed feelings I mentioned? I will miss a funny, clever, caring, strong man, but I'm pleased he never lost his independence and can now rest easy. TD has lost a great researcher and a friend. Rest in peace.
