Sally Townsend was born in 1819 and bap 10/10/1819 in Ruislip d/o Job and Sarah.
She married as Sarah 30/6/1837 at St John Hillingdon, to John Balding.
As it was pre civil registration there are no details, but 2 of her siblings were the witnesses, John was a batchelor, she a spinster.
That all I have on them - she and John then vanish
I have checked the GRO for children Balding mmn Towns[h]end - nothing
    Can anyone find them?

Looking on Family Search, there appear to be at least three John Baldings, 25-28, in Middlesex in 1841, and all seem to be in institutions. Could be one of them but details are likely to be so minimal as to be impossible to determine individual identity.

Strange no hint of either Sally/Sarah or John after 1841.

Thank you both. I have so little on Sally or John - neither could read or write (nor could her sibling witnesses) so Sally might not have known she was entered as Sarah on her marriage cert I guess, and Balding, could well have been Baldwin or other such name. I had hoped come the 1841 or 1851 census she would have been enumerated as Sally, making her easier to spot.

If it makes you feel better, I've seen where Sally is a common nickname for Sarah. ;)

Thanks Barb. I guessed they christened her Sally because her mum was Sarah, shame I cannot find her though.
