I have the death of Robert MckMecking in 1881. There is a bit on his mothers name that escapes me, all suggestions gratefully received.

    I read it as:

    Jane McMeeking
    (subsequently
    McCulloch)
    M.S. McQuaker
    (Deceased.)

Which suggests that she was born Jane McQuaker, married a McMeeking and had Robert, was widowed, and then married a McCulloch.

(For the benefit of anyone seeing it for the first time, M.S. stands for Maiden Surname - the vast majority of Scottish registrations include it somewhere or other.)

Thank you Arthur, fabulous, I did not know the M S thing that's so helpful. I haven't done much Scottish research, at 6 credits a look its a very pricey.
