Today while fixing a census number on 'Lost Cousins', I realised that I hadn't checked him on 1939 Register. When it arrived I thought I still hadn't found him as he was last on the list of a totally blacked out page, His wife & Father in law were over the page.
Can anyone suggest why this would be so? The address was 'Cotemark' on Balcombe Rd, Horley in Surrey. tna_r39_1937_1937h_013/261024?

This is how the page is shown on Ancestry. However, on FMP, most of the redacted entries are now open.

I think that it could be a case of Ancestry not having updated their records. ;)

Thanks Jan. I'm not linked to FMP at the moment are they several children or just many persons now deceased?

Many folk from the different houses along the street. Some are still redacted, but a goodly percentage are now showing.

No others for your chap's family on that page - just the one redacted on the next page listed with his wife and father-in-law.
