Whilst I have quite a bit of the family I have a problem with one particular memeber. That is a Samuel Bucknall abt 1720.born poss in Sutton Maddock or Shifnal, If I have it right his father was a Richard Bucknall abt 1688 of Sutton maddock Shropshire. Now I do know that Samuel was married to a Mary (poss Wilson) but I am unable to find proof of this,or Samuel's birth.They lived in Lizard forge ,Shifnal Salop.Any help greatly appreciated Brian B
FMP has a 31 Jan 1774 marriage/banns between Samuel Bucknall and Mary Poyton of Wyke in the Parish of Shiffnal.
Thank you for that however This Samuel is My Great Grand Uncle. My GGF is his brother James Bucknall (1754-1837). It is their father Samuel who is the tricky one.
Do you have access to FMP? If so there is a Richard with wife Eleanor who are baptising children in Shifnal in the 1720's and the original PR's are there so you could peruse them and see if Samuel has been missed in the transcription.
Not sure if this is your Samuel or not. Ancestry has: Samuel Bucknall Probate Date: 22 May 1821 Residence: Shifnal, Shropshire, England "Last will & testament of Samuel Bucknall of Lizard in the parish of Shiffnall in the County of Salop" Public Record Office ref: PROB11/1643 Sorry eyes are not up to reading much of it today.
