Hello, George Barnes was born in 1799 in Avebury, Wilts to Joseph and Sarah
In 1831 when he married Maria Clark in Marleborough St Peter, who was of that parish, he was a widower. He was of Great Bedwin/Bedwyn. There is a record of a marriage bond 10 days earlier, maybe because she was only 22
I cannot find a marriage and death of a likely looking woman in the right time frame, or any children, although he had lots with his second wife. Has anyone any ideas how to find this lady with no name?

I did like Catherine Church of Cliffe Pypard for her proximity to Avebury but have found no death to match a 2nd marriage for George. There are several marriages south of Avebury but for all we know he may have found his 1st wife over the border.
