Trying to find information about Stephen Williams born 7 Aug 1859 and baptised 25 April 1859 possibly married Elizabeth Barnes Williams July 1880 at Ludgvan. Yet another Williams John Williams baptised 12 August 1845 at Ludgvan. I know nothing about him. Emma baptised 4 April 1851 at Ludgvan. Now off to hunt for them.

According to the actual parish register entry of the marriage at Ludgvan on 11 July 1880 (available to view on Ancestry), Stephen WILLIAMS was aged 23, a Miner, resident at Ludgvan, father John WILLIAMS, Miner. Elizabeth Barnes WILLIAMS was aged 23, resident of Ludgvan, father John WILLIAMS, Market Gardener. Both signed as did the witnesses John WILLIAMS & Hanna WILLIAMS. So it does sound as if you have the correct marriage for your Stephen. Now to try to find Emma & John. Janet
Possible marriage at Sancreed on 2 November 1872 between John WILLIAMS, full age, Miner, resident Norvah, father John WILLIAMS, Miner & Hester MARTINS - image available to view on Ancestry. Not too sure about this one though as there are quite a few WILLIAM's in Sancreed. Janet
Could Emma have married a George BEAR? 1881 census of Ludgvan onwards shows a George BEAR aged 31, Railway Platelayer born Ludgvan, living with wife Emma, aged 30 born Ludgvan and children George, William J, Grace & Michael. Three more children in the 1891 census of Ludgvan. 1911 census of Ludgvan shows them to have been married 38 years, had 10 children 6 of whom are still living. Marriage registration in the June qtr 1873 at Penzance reg district for a George BEAR and one of the other names on the page is that of an Emma WILLIAMS. Still can't find John with any certainty though! Janet
I have a George Bear bap 1813, in my tree who is married to Emma but I have no surname for her. May be it is her. There are so many in this tree with the same Christian names that it gets confusing. In 1901 census the George and Emma I have, had a visitor named Barbara Bennetts visiting them from Scotland.
