Sorry to hear that, MollyMay. I think I heard that they made extras just in case that happened, but it won't take away the trauma of opening your parcel and finding a broken poppy :( If it got broken between London and Middlesex, they'd better use a lot more bubble wrap for the ones going abroad!

The really daft thing is they shipped them all up to Derbyshire for cleaning and packing, so they will have done several journeys before anyone receives them. I am sure they will replace it, but it is just so disappointing.
I am just not having a good day today:confused:

Sorry to hear about that. I'm still waiting for mine with crossed fingers. My niece has received hers and although it arrived safely and she is very pleased with it she had to clean it up as it was very dirty. She took the view that at least it proved it had been out in the dirt at the Tower.:)

I'm just hoping my 3 having travelled half way round the world aren't broken when they get hear, I doubt they would want me to return any breakages because the postage cost me an arm and a leg, any returns would have to be at the Tower's expense, not mine.

I'm beginning to wonder how my three will arrive here in Australia, that is if they ever arrive. :(

My thoughts too Artful, I expect airmail cost would have been even more prohibitive than what I paid, no doubt they will be on the "slow boat to China".

Although didn't I read somewhere way back that all UK overseas mail goes by air now, something also about mail bearing surface mail postage takes longer by some reason I now can't recall?

Finally it looks as though my three Poppies are on the way, just received three emails bearing the same message "Please find confirmation that your parcel shipped from CHARAPAK LTD via TRAKPAK has been processed." etc.

Forgot to mention that when I came home from town on Tuesday my three Tower Poppies were on the front verandah, all safe and sound.

Unbeknownst to me my daughter ordered me a Poppy last September. It was delivered to her home this morning and I am now in possession! What a wonderful gift for me.

What a great thought on your daughter's part and a nice surprise for you.
