I know this is a new site, but surely the Isle of Man flag should not be displayed in a section devoted to the Channel Islands (And, elsewhere on the site, I think there just might be a bit of a problem with the flag that is supposed to be representing the Province of Ulster?)

Hello euryalus and welcome to Top Dog. :)

The flags are representative of the overall forum title, the first case being British Islands. It pulls through automatically to the other island sub-forums. The same with Ireland; it has pulled through automatically to the Province sub-forums.

Oh dear. You've spotted something there. There have been riots over less.

Flags are always politically contentious. In my opinion - at least in a site like this - the best thing to do is to remove them. Completely.

Substituting the Union Flag for Northern Ireland will do little to help because three of Ulster's original nine counties are within the Irish Republic. Perhaps Ireland should be represented by St Patrick's flag, to bring it into line with England and Scotland?

Whatever you do, someone is going to be offended.
