    Hi
I don't know if anyone is aware of this on here, but this is being done by the same people that did the Poppies at the Tower of London, it is in commemoration of the ending of WW1 and for those who did not come home. I have ordered one for my Grandfather but thought I would put the link in here for you all. If you want to order your own "Tommy" then there is a "tag" on the right hand side of the web site for you to do this.

    Thank you LP:)

I have ordered my 'Tommy', and have registered for details of where they are going to be, so we can go and see them:)

Mine arrived last week - well, two actually. One for my G. Uncle and one for my other half's G. Uncle. Will be printing off a couple of free voucher's to get them engraved.

They remind me of the beautifully haunting painting by Will Longstaff - Menin Gate by Moonlight - hanging in the Australian War Memorial. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up whenever I see it (not to mention bringing a bit of a tear to the eye as well).
