But they are from “Winnie the Pooh” by A A Milne, which was published today, 14th October back in 1926. Originally written as a series of stories for his son, Christopher Robin, they are now loved by children the world over. Not just children – adults also enjoy the memories form their childhoods and understand better the saying that appear in the tales.

There are so many wonderful quotes from "Winnie the Pooh" but one of my favourites is "If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever."

Dorothy Parker famously hated Winnie the Pooh, altogether too saccharine for her, while I often appreciate her acerbic wit, in this case she is just wrong

When I first noticed the title of this weeks blog, I thought you must have been talking about a drunk Englishman. Had to look up what it meant. So not an alcoholic pommy at all!
