Yes, I knew his mother had died, probably giving birth to his brother, Walter Thomas Till in 1873.
I've also realised that Ambrose would have 'taken up with' someone else, after his wife's death: Isabella died 6 years before him, even though she was younger.
I don't suppose you have any info on their two daughters, Violet Edith and Ellen, or whether they had any other children.

The only thing I could find was Violets full name - Violet Edith May Till.

I wondered if Ellen Eliza Williams from the probate was Ellen. On the 1911 census she was only 6 months old.

I don't have a death date for Lavinia, Ambrose's mother but she was buried on 9th November 1873 at East Budleigh which is about a mile and a half from Otterton.

Walter's birth registration was in the 2nd quarter 1873 giving a birth between Apr-Jun. Lavinia died in the November. So Lavinia didn't die in child birth.

On the 1911 census they say they have been married 15 years and have had 2 children who were both still alive. Those children were Violet and Ellen.
