I have both FB and a Twitter account. I only use Twitter to post links to my Knighton History site. I always used to be on FB and post a lot, but now I mainly use it to post links to TD. I get requests of locals to find information for them, which I do willingly.

I have both. I use FB primarily for family history societies (my bunch are quite active - "I'm in the library - does anyone want anything?") and old history and photo sites. Rather too much covid doom-mongering goes on there for me so I'm back with Twitter - but under normal circumstances FB is a fabulous family history resource. I've 'met' cousins on there that I didn't know existed.

Twitter is different. It's easier to fine-tune, so I get more of what I need to see.

Nope just Facebook for me, mainly as I have family and friends all over the world so an easy way of keeping up to date with them all, plus their video link is brilliant..... if only I remember the time difference:D

Not triedthat yet. Wary Wendy. so long since I ventured out with 'webcam' I'm a bit dubious about it, or just plain shy. Must catch up to show off my longer hair.

I haven't got a scooby door about twitter. I use FB a lot though. Like others I find it brill for local stuff. I belong to a few groups, a fabulous recipe group, SFHG who are marvellous and a couple of others.

I am on some FB genealogy pages..one for Ontario and one for Lincolnshire as well as others. They are very useful and I find great links for genealogy sites I didn't know existed. Just the other day I got an Ontario link to help me find dead people!!

I have a twitter account but can’t really work it ! It sends me email updates, usually quite obscure like traffic conditions in London - I don’t live in London ? I can only think it is because my Son works for A traffic Dept in London and I “follow” him. Don’t think I’ve ever tweeted anything.

It occurred to me that should aliens or “normal” people Happen upon this site they might be a tad freaked out !

They are a list of last names and their dates of death in S.Ontario in the last 50 years or so.. great for finding some people who are too recent for records.

I use Facebook’s Messenger video call facility a lot to talk to daughters and granddaughters. I even read picture book stories to granddaughters while Melbourne was locked down and we could not visit them.

Yes, Thank goodness for technology even if some of it is a mystery to me ! I get a lot of use out of apple’s FaceTime to keep up with the grandsons and I do use messenger but didn’t realise it had a video call facility- I will take a look, thanks Peregrine x

WhatsApp has a video call facility too - I've used it a number of times to speak to my sister-in-law. Free as long as you're on WiFi :)

It’s easy, select the person you want to call and touch the movie camera symbol at top right corner and it will call them. It may take a little while for them to answer and turn on their video camera.

It would with me as I haven't used camera since webcam a year or two back. Have even declined to do so because- due to - oh heck I don't know, maybe my hair isn't tidy.

Only the top half, in fairness.

I've seen hubby on his work conferences. Neatly presented up top, ironed shirt, then shorts and slippers. What they can't see...

Unsure thanks Sis, only a few that I know of earlier family. Who knows where their offspring moved later. Tillsonburg of course & Ingersoll for latter years.
