One thing that has me rather frustrated and doubtful is that on the 1851 Census Isaac's birth place was given as Watten. Yet all the other children of John Sutherland and Catherine/Katharine Gunn appear to have been born in Berriedale/Latheron. Could this be a case of incorrect names for parents being put on the death certificate? I note for instance that none of Isaac's sons are named John. In order his sons are Robert, William, Isaac and James: how does the Scottish naming rule go again? It is also interesting that James middle name is McFarlane and I wonder where that came from. His daughters in order are Catherine, Christina and Elizabeth and those names fit better. Catherine being his mother's name and Christian (Christina) being Margaret's mother's name. Looking at them all again I recall why I spat the dummy sometime ago and left them alone. At one stage I did a whole lot of work on the Badbea connection and then deleted it all!
