Hi Colin, I think that Find a Grave, Deceased on Line and Billion Graves, require original proof, this is from a private letter to me from L&A Cemeteries [l&acemeteries@wandsworth.gov.uk] when I visited in 2009. Sandra, (who, fortunately has very few restrictions now living in the Northern Territory, Australia, No cases for 3 weeks, only 28 confirmed cases, 3 till being treated and no loss of life.)
Sorry about that - I meant to reply and sent instead Sandra I don't know about the other 2, but Find A Grave does not require any sort of proof. The Memorial Names come from people entering them (they are rarely complete). And ANYONE can enter ANY name in ANY cemetery. (Which is why one should always check the information!) In fact ANYONE can "invent" a cemetery! One of our nearby villages has 2 burial sites, the Churchyard and the village Cemetery, very separate from each other (and the Churchyard is not obvious). At some time in the past, someone has put the graveyard on FindAGrave as "X Cemetery" and it has been filled with a mixture of graves from both sites. Being an interfering old busybody, I spent months trying to persuade FindAGrave that 2 sites were involved. (I ended up putting the Churchyard Site on, then entering the graves that were there, "editing" the original entries.) There are no Vanderveldens in the Wandsworth memorials, so I would encourage you to enter the information. Jane
