Watkin Wynne family history

Hi, I am related to the Watkin Wynne's originally I think Sir Watkin Wynne was a big cheese in Denbigshire Wales. The Wynnes like all families spread with the wind some to the USA in the 1600's some to the West Midlands . In the 16/1700's Robert Wynne set up a small town on the Dan River in Virginia this was called Wynnes Falls it later became the city of Danville. Sarah Wynne married into the Kendrick family who later married into the Chamberlain family of Birmingham. I'm on the poor side of the family is anyone on here connected?

My Great Gran Lala Mescus /Mickus her maiden name was Gurlouski she was from Lithuania born 1873. Her Husband Peter was born in 1875 I think at Padovynis near Mariampole/Vilkaviskis

Welcome in Geoff, 'it may not happen over night' but it may well happen that a relly pops in to greet you.

Especially if they remember to click the 'reply' button !!

Ooooh! You lucky thing to have him in your family. There is some work of his in auctions but no image available. I did a bit of a search and found a stained glass window, they think was designed by him in St Thomas, Werribee, Victoria. Also found the one at Trinity College Chapel at the University of Melbourne. Beautiful work Geoff. Must search more for some of his other artworks.

There is quite a lot about Brooks Robinson an Co Stained Glass Designers and Installers, the company that he designed for so you may be able to pick up photos of more of his works.:)
Thank you "Archies Mam" . A number of years ago when I first found out about this I emailed the librarian/archivist at Trinity. After checking my credentials a book about Brooks Robinson and William arrived in the post a few weeks later.I placed the book into the hands of our own unofficial guardian of family history my cousin Janet Morrow. I am an amateur compared to Jan and I knew she would keep it safe for posterity.
