Well, there we all were then...

Amos Spitalhatch

Knight in shining armour.
Been dabbling with the Family History for years and years. Haven't done a lot lately, following moving house and finding myself short of space to spread my 'stuff' out, but it's good to keep up with developments.
Many of my lines seem to lead back to Norfolk, but Hampshire, Wiltshire and Kent also feature quite prominently.
Hope to get back into the swing of things again one of these days.
Thanks for the invitation.

Welcome, Amos, to the friendly Top Dog forum! :)

Moving house seems to be a popular activity for many of us just recently and finding space in which to organise all of our notes, paperwork and certificates can be quite daunting.

However, we will still be happy to help you answer any questions that pop into your head - even if you cannot find the piece of paper on which you had written it down....

Have fun!

Hello Amos and welcome to TD as Jan said.

I reckon you would be the first genealogist I have met who used the term dabbling rather than obsessed. :)

Hello Amos,
Lovely to see you. Hopefully we will meet up treading the boards. C|:-)

Hi Amos C|:-)

Lovely to see yet another familiar face here, I'm enjoying myself on Top Dog and I'm sure you will too ;)

Hi Amos,

Lovely to meet you & just love your Avatar, it brings back so many memories of my childhoodC|:-)

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome - as someone else has said, it's just like coming home. I can feel the bug starting to nibble again; we're just getting into winter here and I suspect it won't be long before I'm up to my hearing aids in paper again!
