    Hello,

George (b. 1767) married Sarah Fry at St. Paul’s Church in Bristol in 1795. My ancestor Ann was born there in 1796, christened at St. Paul’s Church. Ann married William Self in Horsley in 1815, and then moved to Wiltshire. She remarried to George Brown in West Lavington in 1846. I haven’t found any trace of George and Sarah, and don’t know when they died or were buried. I also don’t have a christening for Sarah that fits. Could anybody please help me?

    I’d appreciate any help!

    Adam

Thanks! I’ve cross-referenced the film number, but it gives three churches in Bristol. Which one did you get the details from?

Brilliant, thanks! That’s those two loose ends tied up.

I also haven’t had much luck with George’s parents John and Ann. Haven’t found a marriage record or any deaths. Would you be able to please snoop around for me?

There is a Sarah Fry baptised to John Fry and Anne 10 Feb 1779. Would make her 18 years of age at marriage, and with a daughter Ann.....maybe. Family Search
Oops sorry. This baptism occurred at Bristol.

I think you need to be looking for Sarah Fry circa 1763
    as buried 1813 aged 50.

I think you may have done that Sue!

Thanks for all this hard work! I’d incline more towards the Cirencester burial for Sarah, thanks.

Lots of possibilities for Sarah’s birth. Hmm.

This looks like the most likely candidate. May I ask where the baptism took place exactly?

Please excuse my ignorance  Pip and Jay? I had to look that one up. :reading:
So she had another go in 1765 but there is the death of a Sarah Fry in Bristol in 1766 just to put a dampener on it.
Would these Fry’s be related to the chocolate Joseph Fry of Bristol?
