I still think some of those children belong to Samuel and Susannah.
There is a marriage of a Susannah and a Samuel Calver on Freebdm
The Briggs children attributed to Rhoda and John all have GRO records giving the mother's maiden name as Pedgrift with no reason to assume they belong to Susannah (Henry, James, George, Samuel, Hannah, Rosanna and Charles). There are no impossible intervals between the births.
Duh! never looked there did I! Still can't find it elsewhere.
According an Ancestry tree the marriage was March 1838 in Broome, Norfolk.
Have a look under Pedgriffin.
I have no idea where Rhoda and Johns children are in 1851. Only three as far as I can see. Mary, William and Henry. Mystery.
Umm... where are you looking? On the Ancestry version of the 1851 Census there are:
Bungay,10a, Household schedule number 10 Piece 1804 Folio 490
Page number 3:
John Briggs 37
Rhoda Briggs 41
James Briggs 11
George Briggs 7
Samuel Briggs 5
Hannah Briggs 2
Rose Ann Briggs 1
Mary Lagon 21
Wm Lagon 19
Henry Briggs 13
So far FS has served me well but this time they must have accidently left half the family off.
Job well done AM. I'm always amazed at what you find just using free resources.
Why thank you Missy Sissy...
