The name I am after is in the top clipping, I can get everything from 'son of' onwards. I believe the name begins with an M as the first letter is the same as the bottom sample that is a few lines down. I know what I think it is, but it doesn't make sense to me as a name. Any suggestions welcome for this one please.

My first thought was Moses, but it doesn't really look like that......it actually looks like Moise.

It looks like Moisa/Moise I think, but I must admit it is a new one to me. According to a Google search though, Moise is the French version of Moses, so I assume it is a latinized? version of the name Moses.

It's certainly a strange one. His other son's names are William, Thomas & Richard which are all quite ordinary, if you know what I mean.
