In 1835 an Amos Hutchinson was buried at Almondbury, Holme Bridge in Yorkshire. I found records on ancestry and Family Search ( where I think Ancestry's copy is from) Family Search ref. is item 30,, pg. 4 microfilm 990856 There is a burial date of 1835 but no other information such as age. FMP has a death there, but it says Amos was also born in 1835, age 0. Is this an assumption on the part of the transcriber or do they have access to better records? The Amos I am looking for was born in 1795, we have just lost him after his last daughter was baptised in Swinefleet in 1833.
Ancestry also have a scan of the original parish register in their 'West Yorkshire, Deaths and Burials 1813-1985' collection. This little Amos was of Berry Brow and only 5 weeks old. (The burial date is blank, but is between entries dated 22 February and 1 March 1835.)
Thanks Huncamunca...I missed that It is always nice to have another pair of eyes. Back to square one...
The one I am looking for is ( we think) , however he was a mariner so travelled a lot. Lived in the London area for some time... ( married in London, had family in London...) We just can't find a death for him and think it may have been at sea, however when another possibility comes up we try to explore it..
