What trade is a Leather ‘Robler’?

One of my ancestors occupation’s is showing as a Leather Robler on the 1939 Registry for England and Wales. The writing is very clear, so that’s definitely what it says, but I don’t know what one of those is. I’ve tried Googling but even that hasn’t really helped.

Any thoughts please experts?

Could it be Leather Roller rather than Robler written like this
poorly defined first 'l'
