I was in Ireland last week, on another family history jaunt. My distant cousin Patrick took me to met a distant connection (her grandmother's sister had married a Donohoe cousin of my g g'father). She had a lot of old photos of Donohoes, which were marvellous. I had been introduced to her as someone who knows everything (silly thing to say, of course) and she immediately confounded me by asking "Where was Myles buried?" Neither Patrick nor I knew, and he is no mean local historian himself.
So has anyone got access to Irish Newspapers and can someone find a report of his funeral? He was well-known in the area so he might also have an obit.
He was Myles or Miles Donohoe. He often used the middle initial M. He died on 29th December 1935 at his home, Castle Talbot, Blackwater, County Wexford.
I'd be a very happy bunny if he could be found! Thanks to anyone who tries.
