This is from an Assisted passenger list to New South Wales, it's a place of birth.

FMP has it transcribed as 'Burragigoul, Carlow', I agree with the Carlow but can't find 'Burragigoul' at all. Even Mr. 'I'm so smart' Google has gone into hiding with this one

Don't need to know the bottom one.

    Could it be
    • Bannagagole (Bán an Dá Ghabhal) , Oldleighlin Civil Parish, Barony of Idrone West, Co. Carlow 524 A, 0 R, 23 P
    From https://www.townlands.ie/carlow/

(Mods, not sure if I am allowed those links - they look innocuous enough)

Ah sure now, if ye are doing Irish research, townlands.ie is the place to go to get those inscrutable townlands.
Had my DNA done and I'm 54% Irish, the wife is 98% and children 89% Irish, so I do need to have good resources.
