Thomas Keable/Kable/Cable etc was born about 1813 in Suffolk, England. He married Fanny Ellis in 1840 at St Dunstan's Church, Tower Hamlets: From FreeBMD Marriages Jun 1840 ELLIS Fanny Whitechapel 2 479 KEABLE Thomas Whitechapel 2 479 KEARLE Thomas Whitechapel 2 479 Son Thomas James arrived shortly afterwards and was duly registered and baptised at St Dunstan's. GRO: KABLE, THOMAS JAMES ELLIS GRO Reference: 1840 D Quarter in STEPNEY Volume 02 Page 468 Then Fanny and baby Thomas James appear in the 1841 Census. No dad. More children arrived: Emma Elizabeth 1842, William 1843, Francis 1846, Mary Ann 1849, George 1850 and Henry Charles 1854. It's difficult to find any of them in the Census after Thomas apart from William. Maybe Thomas Senior was a Journeyman of some trade? Maybe they mostly died young, and/or were in the Workhouse. Various A-site Trees have lots of incorrect information about them all, having them change sex and marry people all over the shop! Could someone help me sort this lot, please?
