Hello again fellow TOP DOGs I present to you today another branch of my family, this one has been giving me issues almost as much as the previous one Mary Ann WILDE born 17/11/1826 apparently at Oldham, Lancashire Christened 7/12/1826. She died in 1911 at Ovingham, Adelaide. She married John William Platt (father of Joseph) in November 1850 at "Manse, Freemans St. Adelaide SA". I have proof of this marriage. Looking for her parents, tried the census but couldn't find her as there were a few Mary Wilde. She is mentioned in Trove in a newspaper article about her husband's death with her surname being spelt PLATTS. Thank you
There is a Mary Ann Wilde baptised at St Peter Oldham 27 March 1825. Father James a spinner and mother Matty living at Lord Street baptised by Wim Winter. Register of Baptisms 1824-1829Page 33 Enrty 263. found on Lancashire OPC Matty could be Matilda.
Mary Ann Wild baptised 27th August 1826 Oldham father Isaac mother Sarah. You’re correct. There is a few of them.
What are here parents names from this record? What's her father's name and does it give an age or say 'of full age'?

I was hoping that an Isaac might crop up in the children's names giving weight to the chances of Isaac and Sarah being Mary Ann's parents.
If these dates of birth and baptism are correct then the only thing I can think of is that Mary Ann was baptised under another surname. Perhaps Mum remarried to a Mr Wilde or she was single when Mary Anne was born and married Mr Wilde. Ive searched everywhere.
It seems that this Mary Ann Wilde born 1826 was buried 24/2/1828 Prestwich-cum-Oldham. Father Isaac mother Sarah.
So Mum emailed me the following this afternoon which seems to be the parents and siblings of Mary Ann Wild. She had it for a while and had forgotten about it. Not sure how accurate it is though. Only other info I have is John Wilde 1801 married a Margaret born 1811 John Edward They had Joseph 1821 Henrietta 1826 George 1826 Died 1914 Young NSW Jane 1827 Mary Ann 1829 married John William Platt Seline 1834 John Edward 1834 Alexandria Victoria 1837 Margaret 1840 All born Middlesex London England not sure if some birth dates are right

I chose to follow Margaret born 1840 Marylebone. She is with her mother Margaret age 42 who now states born Stockport. Victoria is now born Chester, Selina born Marylebone as is Henrietta. Then there is a grandson Philip Selleck Age 3. I think Victoria is Alexandria Victoria.
