Had a lucky break.
Decided to have a look for Rose Franklen and instead of using Essex as one of the parameters I decided to leave it as simply England.
Up came Rose Franklin baptised 9 Mar 1676, daughter of Simon & Dorothy Franklin at St Michael's, Bishop Stortford in Hertfordshire, followed by three siblings, Family Search Ref C072177. Looking good.
Also found Simon Francklin married Dorothy Wilkinson 26 Sep 1675 Widford, Herts M073101
Yet more at Sawbridgeworth, Herts: Dorathy Wilkinson daughter of William baptised 10 Mar 1645 plus possible sisters Katherine 19 Jul 1635 and Annie 7 May 1648. C072902.
Tomorrow I'll have a look around for suitable Hertfordshire resources (in addition to Family Search) to check that Rose wasn't buried or married in Hertfordshire.
