    Never wanting to miss an opportunity to plug a really good book, under the DSO in this list is Captain J. Masters who is in fact John Masters the novelist. As WW1 is all around us, among the many fine books he wrote was 'The Ravi Lancers' - a cracking novel about an Indian cavalry unit sent to fight in France & Belgium.
    BTW the 'Blackpool' against his name in the DSO list refers to a military stronghold in Burma and not the seaside town!
