Good morning from not-so-warm-and-sunny Lancashire! :)
Just happened upon your site and I'm hoping that some of you knowledgeable people will be able to help me overcome my brick-wall :headbang: (when I suss out where to put it on the site :p). Am looking forward to having a browse round too.

Thank you Ma-dotcom. Could I ask your advice, if I may? I've had a good wee look on the site and I'm struggling a bit on where's best to post a question (I'm mindful of not duplicating a post). My brick wall relates to trying to locate death/burial place of an Essex ancestor. I've got lots of info about her (not so common maiden name) but her death details evade me. I've got only very scant details of her husband (common name...boooo). Sorry if this is a very basic question. Thank you (anyone) in advance.

A wide choice here, & don't ever fret if you choose the wrong Forum as our Admin staff & Mods are very helpful in redirecting posts to an easier forum.

http://www.genealogy-specialists.com/forums/essex.200/
or choose
General Family History Queries
http://www.genealogy-specialists.com/categories/general-family-history-research.361/

or
Genealogy Records Queries
http://www.genealogy-specialists.com/categories/genealogy-records-queries.319/

You may see that these last two posts are diverted to the forum you select or placed for you where it will get best help. Good luck,;)

If you know she died in Essex, I'd put it on the Essex forum. Otherwise on General Family History Queries.

I'm wondering myself where to put a thread right now, because it's a family query but it could also come under General Chatter. But the Mods will move it if it's in the wrong place.

Oh, and welcome to the forum C|:-)

Many thanks for the replies-I have posted it under the "General Family History Queries" in one of the suggestions you kindly gave. Here's hoping!:D
And thank you too, Old Stoneface.
