Jeremiah Connor was born 1838 in Berwickshire, Scotland. In the 1841 census he was with his family in Ayton, Berwickshire age 5. Head of family Jeremiah Connor, Occupation, Boatman. In 1851 His parents had moved to Newton by the Sea, Northumberland, where Jeremiah Snr was Chief Boatman. Jeremiah Jnr is on another census as a Drapers Apprentice in nearby Berwick on Tweed, Northumberland. After 1851 I've been unable to trace Jeremiah Jnr any further. Can anyone assist with information from 1851 onwards

Thanks vey much for all your efforts. I can now use all the info to continue with my picture of how Jeremiah lived and prospered.

Hatton Gardens was the heart of the jewelry quarter with the wealthy diamond and precious stones merchants residing above their shops. So he certainly resided alongside the wealthy. Recently 89 Hatton Gardens in the news for the easter weekend burglary.
