Hello everyone,
I love to read, garden and travel. I have 3 grown daughters hence my title. :) tracing the family is a recent passion which has been fascinating to date and frustrating in equal measure. I've so many problems with my heritage i can give everyone a separate issue to help me with. Let me know if you'd be interested!!
Look forward to hearing from you

Are you kidding? Can't you feel the anticipation? Looking forward to being helpful. If we can that is!;) We will certainly give it our best shot.
edited to add.....Little River was a great band. :)

Welcome to TD MerrynC|:-) Fire away with what you need help with and we will do our very best to help you.:)

Welcome Merryn. Just down the road from myself.

Don't be bashful about posting your queries. :)

Thanks for the welcome Doug, Derek, Sis and Sue. :) My first time on a forum and I posted one long winded enquiry before I could work out how to post on the welcome page. Obviously i have a lot to learn!! So, problem 1 is under a page called Conversations: Pike family tree. connection to Bristol. (or close to that)
Yes Sue Little River was a great band, it has been a great place to live too and Doug I'm on the Wyndham side. :)
When posting do you find a topic that suits ie I can't find family in the england census and I think they are possibly o/s in the fusiliers. would i ask for help under a military page therefore?

The Conversations area is just for one on one messages to other forum members. If you're not sure where to post put your query under General Family History Queries. You will find that by going to the home page and on the right hand side you will see the green bars, there's one labeled General Family History Research. Click on the plus sign which is one the right hand side of the bar, scroll down to General Family History Queries, then post your query. If it needs to go elsewhere the Mods will come along and move it, no problems. Good luck:)

Welcome to Top Dog Merryn C|:-)

Visiting a forum for the first time can be a little nerve-racking. Don't worry if you post in the wrong section, one of us mods or admin can move it to the right one. It's what we're here for :)

Welcome to TD Merryn, as you are probably working out we are a friendly, helpful bunch with a few nuts thrown in for good measure:D, oh and we do tend to go 'off piste' on the odd occasion;) but post them queries as grey hairs are a specialty here:)

A warm welcome to the forum Merryn. As you can see, everyone is so helpful and will do their best to find answers to your questions.

Hm - I think if you are trying to locate them in the census I would start here. Someone may find them under a different spelling etc. List all the facts as you know them. If necessary we can move the thread as others have stated.
