Abbreviations in family notices

I know what 'inst." and "ult." mean in family notices published in newspapers but what does "nlt.". I am sure it does not mean the modern NLT meaning no later than.

For example
"On the 30th nlt. by the Rev. George Hanson...."
 
Is it a digital transcription from Trove? Or can it be read clearly from the notice?
My guess is it is supposed to be 'ult'. A wobbly 'u' that looks like an 'n'.
On the 30th 'no later than' by the Rev......doesn't make sense. To me anyway.:rolleyes:

:oops: Egg on face. It was in The Belfast Newsletter on 13 Jun 1837 and related the marriage of Dr. Thomas Wilson to Margaret Hamilton Lowry, and it actually came up as a hint on Ancestry! But looking at the other entries I can see that 'ult.' looks in some entries more like 'nlt.' Billy silly that I am I didn't even think that it was just a mis-transcription. :D:oops:

Phillipa, unfortunately, 'twas me, myself, I that did the mis-transcription!

Oh and I have visitors coming for lunch tomorrow, but still have not started tidying and cleaning. And then there is the two HUGE baskets of ironing! But no I have spent the morning tidying my research notes and synchronising my trees before merging direct ancestors from three trees into my direct ancestors tree.
 
One of the unfortunate fall-outs from Bill's state of health is that we can no longer have people over to the house. He's too damned well mannered to do anything but be hospitable and the place is way too small for "separation" so one short visit can end up really knocking him about for at least a week. Learned that the hard way so the only solution seemed to be to totally reverse our open door policy which we'd had for close to 50 years. The good side of that (here I go madly looking for even a miniscule glass-half-full part of it) is that I don't have to do any preparations for people arriving whether unexpectedly or arranged. Doesn't mean stuff doesn't have to be done but if it's not then it's only me wot has to put up with it!!!! :) or :( - can't make up my mind.

Must be the latter I think, especially if you have always encouraged 'blow-ins' previously. :( Luckily for me most of our blow-ins are the daughters and my precious (grand-daughter). But tomorrow we have our claytons siblings.

While we are on the subject of abbreviations-& terminology, I recently read the answer to your little problem here Philippa.
Pour it into a smaller glass & you again have the full content. :D

p.s. this morning I squeegeed the hallway carpet & caught enough fur to make a medium sized cat. later both doggies were bathed & trimmed & carpet runner still looks vibrant. got a couple of grumpy doggies tho'. I think they don't like the way they smell.
