I think this is the first Hester I have come across in any of these registers.
Another thought just occurred to me - could he have stated to write a name, then crossed it out and then written Ester?I have been looking at it for a while and I think I can read ....ester or esten. It definitely is not an "H" at the beginning. It could be .ttester or .ssester. Now I will stare at the first letter for a bit longer and see if anything pops up.
Do we know how he writes his Ds.
